Pedikom's unique treatment for feet and feet-related problems is a pair of individually designed restorative orthotics. They provide a corrective pattern to which your feet will mould, and will gradually and permanently reverse these problems and keep them from getting worse by pushing the bones, joints, tendons and ligaments into the correct alignment - the way it should be originally.
They redistribute the body weight, reduce the pain and prevent the likelihood of injury. Even someone who doesn't have any symptoms can benefit from the use of orthotics. In these situations the orthotics will help to prevent future problems. Preventative or early treatment is always best. The Pedikom Orthotics are light, flexible and made of natural materials. This helps to ensure user comfort, absorb dampness (helping to keep the feet dry), and provide durability.
The orthotics can be fitted into most sports, leisure or dress shoes. Whether walking or running the orthotics move with your feet to provide support; maintain the correct alignment of the joints; exercise the muscles and strengthen the arches while gradually pushing the bones and joints back to the correct alignment.
The Pedikom orthotics are designed to provide improvement, correction, support and comfort for your feet. The orthotics gradually and permanently improve the feet so we recommend having regular examinations. The usual time-frame for these is every 14 to 16 months.
At time of check up we usually recommend getting a new pair of orthotics based on a new design, to continue the correction process.
