Feet and feet related disorders and symptoms
How can the Pedikom orthotics help?
An increasingly sedentary lifestyle and growing use of transportation contribute to a weakening of the feet muscles. Being over-weight, wearing poorly fitting shoes, standing for long periods at work all place additional pressure on the feet – increasing the burden they carry day after day. Walking in bare-feet on artificial surfaces during childhood years along with heredity can also cause future problems.
Ideally the foot is a balanced biomechanical structure of bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments. When this "feet posture" or balance is not correct it could result in feet problems (such as flat-feet and high-arches), which may in turn cause related problems in the ankles, knees, hips and lower back. These can also be responsible for sore muscles and aching nerves from the toes to the neck. If the feet problems are not corrected, damage may be caused to the joints and spinal vertebrate.
