The digitised images show an arrangement of pressure areas based upon the distribution of the body's weight. Each "foot problem" has a characteristic pattern or picture formed by these pressure areas which can be compared to an "ideal" (normal) pattern.

The pictures and customer's details are sent, via the Internet, to Europe where they can be analysed. Using the digital pictures and 3D pressure maps, orthopaedic doctors analyse the sole's irregularities and so diagnose the individual's feet problems.
The images and analysis can then be used in the design of the orthotics - determining the best orthotics for the individual and their requirements.
